Beautiful Dreamcatcher in Dark Blue or Purple
Native Americans believe that the night air is filled with dreams both good and bad. The dream catcher when hung over or near your bed swinging freely in the air, catches the dreams as they flow by. The good dreams know how to pass through the dream catcher, slipping through the outer holes and slide down the soft feathers so gently that many times the sleeper does not know that he/she is dreaming. The bad dreams not knowing the way get tangled in the dream catcher and perish with the first light of the new day.
A common misconception is that dreamcatchers catch nightmares. This is in fact untrue. If they were intended to catch nightmares, they’d be called nightmare catchers. So now that we have clarified the difference between dreams and nightmares we have to look at the intent of the dreamcatcher. It’s purpose is to serve as a catcher of dreams, not a catcher of nightmares. Those who want to catch their dreams instill hope, desire and belief in humanity. For those, who want to catch dreams, obviously have the desire to pursue dreams. A person who has caught their dream, probably started out chasing their dreams. This is vital to the success of dreamcatching.
You MUST have dreams to catch.
